Premium Retractable Patio Screens in Highlands Ranch
Outdoor living is a big part of life in Highlands Ranch, and patio screens make it easier to enjoy patios, covered decks, outdoor kitchens, and backyard gathering spaces throughout more of the year. Retractable screen systems help reduce harsh sunlight, wind, bugs, and unwanted visibility while preserving the airflow, natural light, and open feel that make outdoor spaces enjoyable.
With thousands of Highlands Ranch homes located near parks and open space, many homeowners want a screen solution that provides comfort without permanently blocking the surrounding views. Our screen solutions offer a clean, modern way to create a more controlled outdoor environment while retracting out of sight when they are not needed.
At Screen Logic, we design and install custom patio screens throughout Highlands Ranch and the surrounding South Denver area. Every system is tailored to the opening, architecture, and way you use the space. Whether you are screening a covered patio, large outdoor entertainment area, pergola, or oversized opening, our team focuses on premium products, professional installation, and solutions designed for Colorado conditions.
Large Format Retractable Screens
Manual retractable screens offer a clean and practical option for larger patio openings that do not require motorized operation. These systems help control insects, sunlight, and airflow while staying discreet when retracted.
Motorized Patio Screens
Custom motorized patio screens provide adjustable shade, privacy, insect protection, and improved comfort for covered patios, decks, outdoor kitchens, and backyard living spaces throughout Highlands Ranch.
Manual Door Screens
Retractable door screens allow fresh air into the home without covering the doorway with a traditional fixed screen. They work well with entry doors, French doors, and patio doors while blending cleanly into your architecture.

Patio Screen Benefits
Sun Protection
Colorado’s strong sunlight can quickly heat up patios and outdoor living spaces, particularly during the afternoon and on south or west-facing areas of the home. Patio screens help filter direct sunlight, reduce glare, and create a cooler, more comfortable environment without completely closing off the space.
Retractable screens can also help reduce prolonged UV exposure on outdoor furniture, flooring, cabinetry, and other finishes. For Highlands Ranch homeowners who spend significant time outside during the warmer months, adjustable shade can make a patio much more comfortable throughout the day.
Increased Privacy
Many Highlands Ranch homes are designed with open backyards, patios, large windows, and outdoor entertainment areas. Screens provide an easy way to add privacy when desired without permanently enclosing the space or blocking the view.
Depending on the mesh selected, homeowners can maintain visibility from inside the patio while reducing visibility from neighboring properties or nearby common areas. When privacy is not needed, the screens simply retract and restore the fully open environment.
Bug control
Warm Colorado evenings are great for outdoor dining, entertaining, and relaxing until mosquitoes, flies, moths, and other insects begin moving in. Patio screens create a physical barrier around covered outdoor spaces while still allowing fresh air to circulate.
For patios with dining areas, fireplaces, televisions, or outdoor kitchens, insect control can significantly increase how often the space actually gets used. Instead of heading indoors as bugs become more active, homeowners can continue enjoying the patio in greater comfort.
wind reduction
Highlands Ranch includes large areas of open space and exposed terrain, which can leave some properties more susceptible to changing winds and afternoon gusts. Screens can help reduce direct wind exposure while maintaining airflow and visibility.
Reducing wind across a covered patio can make the space more comfortable while also helping keep leaves, debris, and lightweight items from blowing through the area. The result is a more controlled outdoor environment that can be enjoyed through a wider range of Colorado weather conditions.
Large Door Screening
Manually operated, retractable, horizontal pull screens for door widths of up to 15’ wide for singles, 30' wide for doubles and heights up to 14’. These popular systems offer many features:
- A solution that many door companies miss, screens to cover your large door openings
- An answer to our modern use of garage type all glass roll up door systems
- Retractable aka “self-storing” screens that keep your view unobstructed when not in use
- Standard colors to approximate your door color, including customs colors when necessary
- All sides are sealed to keep out annoying bugs and maintain a pleasant atmosphere
- Custom screen stopping points to avoid total retraction for your unique door opening
- Professional installation to ensure proper mounting and reliable operation

Motorized Vertical "Cable" Mounted Screening
The application of pocketed systems that have no visible attachment often must be planned from the beginning of a newly constructed space. However, if you don’t have that choice then this system offers practical options:
- Retrofits are easier than a track guided system
- Can be applied at angles beyond straight up and straight down
- Avoids the requirement of a prefabricated pocketed system
- Can be placed in front of those south/west facing heat gaining windows to keep the heat out
- Automatic detection of the sun’s heat and light if you’re home or not
- Retracts when the sun is gone and the view contains only cool light
Motorized Vertical Track Mounted Screening
An outside area can be completely enclosed or or we can just screen your very wide and very tall door systems if you prefer. These systems offer many features including:
- The ability to tame those glaring rays from our 300+ days of sunshine
- Reduces passive solar gain in the summer months
- Blends the access from inside to outside beyond the typical screen mounted on the door
- Enclosing the outdoor space to calm or eliminate those gusts that send you and guests inside
- Control operation with a push of the remote button or use your smartphone
- Quickly transition from fully opened to fully closed as the weather dictates
- Retain heat during cooler times of the year when the outdoor temperature drops
- Protect your expensive outdoor furniture from fall leaves, rain, birds, and insects
- More than a single solution by addressing sun, wind, privacy, and bugs with a single system
- If nature allows, completely retract your system to see uninhibited views
