Care and Maintenance
We would like to thank you for choosing Screen Logic to help you create your outdoor living project. We offer a one (1) year warranty on installation, in addition to the manufacturer’s product warranty. Please do not hesitate to contact us if your screens require adjustment during this time period. Should you require assistance outside of our installation warranty, our standard service call rates will apply. One of the great things about a retractable system is that they require minimal maintenance. As the screens are retracted when not in use, they stay in their housing during wet and cold months. As a general rule they should be cleaned once or twice a season to eliminate any small dust particles in the mesh.
Motorized Roll Down Systems
Wind can affect the operation of your screens. Under normal wind conditions (less than 25 mph) screens will work normally.
In excessive wind loads or gusts do NOT operate your screens. If they are up, which we highly recommend, then leave them up. If they are down, then leave them down.
For clear vinyl units, they should not be operated in temperatures below 40 degrees, and in extended cold periods should remain in the raised position or left down until the temperature warms to 40 degrees or warmer.
Some screen puckering or creasing is normal. Although we endeavor to minimize this potential through adjustments to attempt to resolve any issues that may occur.
Retractable screens are intended to provide reasonable insect control and solar shading- not the retention and/or security of objects, animals or persons.
Manual Horizontal Screen Systems
The periodic use of a dry silicone is necessary to keep your screens operating smoothly. Apply this to the mesh slot in the track (top and bottom) to ensure the screens move freely. If your screen is equipped with a brake do not spray that surface with dry silicone.
Allow the spring tension to retract the screen. Do not force or push the screen back.
Wind load may affect screen operation. The screen systems should not be operated in winds in excess of 20 miles an hour.
